Infertility Counseling
Despite the many advances in treating infertility, if the treatment hasn’t worked then you may need to wait a while until you are physically and mentally ready before you try again. A doctor should be your first ‘port of call’ if you are looking for the reason for your infertility as there are many possible reasons for the problem. When couples first approach a specialist for infertility treatment, one of the first questions they ask is; who has the problem? Figures for America show, for instance, that about one in every nine couples have an infertility problem leading to childlessness.
If you and your spouse have been unable to conceive for a year, the first thing to do is to visit your family doctor, who will conduct a physical examination of both partners to determine your general state of health and to evaluate any physical disorders that may be causing infertility.
Unfortunately, many older women listen to the wrong advice and often get into a mental mindset where they fully believe they will not conceive because of their age. It is often this mental block that sabotages any attempts for the couple to cure their infertility problem.
Infertility Counseling...
Another infertility problem is known as Secondary Infertility and is characterized by the inability for a woman to conceive after a year of unprotected sexual intercourse following the delivery of the first child. For many males, it is the sperm that is causing the infertility problem. There is strong clinical evidence to show that men diagnosed with infertility have high levels of oxidative stress that may impair the quality of their sperm. The answer is to reduce oxidative stress and improve the sperm quality, similar research has shown.
Although you may undertaking other treatment for infertility, it won’t hurt to start taking essential vitamins and minerals as a natural remedy for infertility because it won’t harm your current treatment and having a healthy body can only improve your chances of fertility. More importantly, using minerals and other health supplements is a low cost option when you consider the price of other fertility treatments and medical procedures that won’t guarantee conception. Another treatment that has been known to help is acupuncture by reducing the stress levels that can be associated with infertility.
Some medical insurance companies may try to deny your fertility treatment costs but you can argue that it is a legitimate medical procedure and should be covered. If your insurance company just won’t cover it, the good news is that infertility treatment, like most medical procedures is tax-deductible.
