Infertility Issues

There are no guarantees with infertility treatment so be prepared to wait a while to recover if it does not work the first time. Unfortunately, there could be any number of reasons for infertility and these require the diagnosis of a doctor. For couples that seek help from an infertility specialist, knowing which of them has the problem is one of the first questions they want answered. In the USA, infertility has become a major social problem with estimates indicating that approximately one in nine couples have no children because of the problem.

If you and your spouse have been unable to conceive for a year, the first thing to do is to visit your family doctor, who will conduct a physical examination of both partners to determine your general state of health and to evaluate any physical disorders that may be causing infertility.

Unfortunately, many older women listen to the wrong advice and often get into a mental mindset where they fully believe they will not conceive because of their age. Often infertility therapists will come up against a mental wall in the couple which in itself destroys and attempts to cure the infertility.

Infertility Issues...

Secondary Infertility is a problem some women face after they have had their first child and have tried for a full year to conceive following the birth. The sperm is normally the problem for those men that have been experiencing fertility problems. There is strong clinical evidence to show that men diagnosed with infertility have high levels of oxidative stress that may impair the quality of their sperm. Fortunately, similar research indicates that this situation can be reversed and methods to reduce the oxidative stress will likely improve the chances of conception.

Fertility can also be enhanced by the use of natural vitamins and supplements to improve the overall health of the body and it won’t harm any infertility treatments you are currently undergoing. When you consider the costs associated with adoption or medical procedures ? and the high failure rate - a small investment in good quality mineral, vitamin and essential nutrient supplements as infertility natural treatment is very appealing. If your infertility problem is stress related you may want to try acupuncture which helps the release of endorphins and other chemicals that help reduce stress.

Fertility treatment isn’t always covered by your medical insurance although you could claim that it is a necessary and legitimate medical procedure. If however, you are not covered under your policy, infertility treatment is tax-deductible.
